WEATHER WARNING: Stormy afternoon again!

THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING: Storms developed in our local mountains this afternoon, moving across the I25 corridor and then moving across the plains. There is more water in the atmosphere today, increasing the risk of heavy rainfall, storms and localized flooding. Again, there is a chance that one or two cells could become strong to severe, causing damaging wind gusts and hailstones up to half a dollar in size. While the intensity of the storms will decrease overnight, easterly winds will continue to cause storms along the Front Range through early Thursday morning.

MORNING: Conditions will remain unclear until tomorrow afternoon as our upper mountain system finally moves over and east of Colorado, meaning we will likely see a few more showers and storms throughout the day – however the storms are not expected to be quite as severe. Highs will be a few degrees warmer than Wednesday.

EXTENDED: We continue to warm up, with a calmer and drier environment developing across the area on Friday and Saturday. Our next system will bring the return of unsettled weather early next week, with the possibility of storms returning each afternoon.
