More storms expected in the Houston area today

The Houston area will face another round of storms today.

The forecast calls for a line of storms to approach from the west this afternoon, which could bring a threat of hail and damaging winds.

Another line of storms moves in tonight, with the potential to be strong to severe after sunset.

Rain totals could reach 2″ to 4″, exceptions will be northeast of I-10 where communities could reach 6″ or more if we see training storms (storms moving over the same area to many times). At the opposite end, near the coast, it might be difficult to touch an inch.

After this rain, we should be clear until later in the week.
