Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was suspended without pay from his WABC radio show for ranting about the “stolen” 2020 election — exacerbating the legally troubled ex-lawyer’s financial woes, The Post has learned .

In another crash, Donald Trump’s bankrupt, twice-indicted ex-lawyer was ousted from the air by billionaire supermarket mogul and radio station owner John Catsimatidis.

“He did it to himself,” Catsimatidis told The Post on Friday.

“I thought he was a great mayor of the city of New York, so I always try to support him. But you can’t cross the line.”

Giuliani, 79, launched into a “stolen election” tirade in the final three minutes of “The Rudy Giuliani Show” on Thursday, violating a company-wide policy “not to state, suggest or imply that the election results are invalid.” are,” said the report to Catsimatidis, who runs Red Apple Media.

Catsimatidis said he sent Giuliani a letter warning him that he was “prohibited from engaging in conversations related to the 2020 presidential election” – prompting the disgraced mayor to reportedly send a defiant text message to send to the billionaire.

“Please understand that I am disregarding all instructions given in this letter,” he reportedly wrote after his show.

Catsimatidis said he shot back Friday afternoon: “I must remove you from the network effective immediately.”

“Does this mean you’re firing me?” Giuliani asked – to which Catsimatidis had not yet responded as of Friday evening.

Giuliani told The Post he had no knowledge of the existence of the company’s policies and claimed he had been speaking on television about the 2020 election for the past three years.

“They don’t want me to say it was stolen, they don’t want me to even talk about the election. It’s so wide,” he said.

“I am being told to promise that I will not engage in any conversations related to the 2020 presidential election. Who the hell could promise that but a liar?” he said.

“It’s a blow for me. Absolutely,” he said of losing the job. “This is a big bummer!”

Giuliani said he earned $15,000 a month working at WABC and added of the CEO of grocery chains Gristedes and D’Agostino Supermarkets: “He paid me what I would describe as peanuts.”

He said he still has shows on X and Newsmax that generate revenue.

His on-air rant on Thursday was edited out, Catsimatidis said, saying Giuliani had been asking for more radio slots in recent days.

“He’s been pushing a lot in the last week or so,” Catsimatidis said.

“He wanted to be on air for more hours. We didn’t volunteer to give it to him,” Catsimatidis said. “He’s been pushing a lot over the last week or so.”

Giuliani, hailed as “America’s mayor” in the 9/11 era, now faces a mountain of anti-criminal bills in Arizona and Georgia, where he has been accused of trying to overturn the 2020 election.

He must also pay lawyers to defend him in several civil lawsuits, including from voting machine companies Dominion and Smartmatic and a former employee who accused him of sexual assault.

Giuliani filed for bankruptcy in New York in December, claiming he owes up to $500 million after a devastating $148 million civil court judgment was handed down against him.

In that case, the former attorney, whose facts were disputed, was ordered to pay two Georgia poll workers he defamed after the 2020 presidential election.

At the time, Giuliani estimated his debts were $153 million.

In January, he promised in New York bankruptcy court that he would limit his spending to the outrageous sum of $43,000 a month – but quickly fell short of the budget.

He reportedly wasted nearly $120,000 that same month by purchasing “60 transactions on Amazon, multiple entertainment subscriptions, various Apple services and products, Uber rides, and paying off a portion of his business partner’s personal credit card bill,” reported the New York Times last week.

Working as a lawyer is also not possible. Guiliani, who is also a former federal prosecutor, had his law license revoked in New York City in 2021.

He faces being banned from practicing law because of “his total disregard for facts” that “denigrate the legal profession,” a panel said last year.
