One dead in fatal shooting overnight in Erie

Erie, Pa. (WJET/WFXP) — One person was killed in an overnight shooting in Erie.

The shooting in the 700 block of West 4th Street happened around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday morning. The block was taped off by police while they began their investigation.

Police confirm to us that one person was killed. Another person was also injured and taken to a local hospital where they are expected to survive.

Erie Police are currently investigating.
