Man hospitalized after shooting in downtown Fresno, police said

A man is in the hospital after a shooting in downtown Fresno that occurred around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of Griffith and Effie.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A man is in the hospital after a shooting in downtown Fresno.

It happened around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of Griffith and Effie.

Police said they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg on nearby Sussex Avenue.

He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. There is no information about his condition yet.

The police believe they have arrested the suspect.

Officers are working to collect evidence and witness statements.

They did not say what might have led to the attack.
