Buffalo Police Remind Festival-Goers to Bring Pets Due to Heat

BUFFALO, NY — This upcoming weekend has plenty to offer between warm weather and festivals to explore in Western New York.

Due to the warmer temperatures, Buffalo police are reminding people to enjoy all there is to offer, but also to perhaps not bring pets along for the experience.

In a message posted on their social media pages, they wrote: “Heat Advisory: Due to expected temperatures this weekend, pet owners should consider leaving their pets at home if attending citywide events like the Italian Festival on Hertel Avenue, the Irish Festival on the Outer Harbor or the Buffalo Garden Walk.”
