MPD issues “traffic alert” for major event in downtown Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – The Memphis Police Department (MPD) has issued a “Traffic Alert” for the “All White Affair Festival” at Tom Lee Park on Saturday, July 20, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

According to MPD, more than 4,000 people are expected to attend the festival. In preparation for the major event, traffic in downtown Riverside will be closed between Georgia Ave. and Beale St.

Police are advising the public to use alternative routes between 11am and 10pm this evening.
