Missing child found dead near Disney in Orlando

A 3-year-old boy reported missing Thursday morning was found dead in a body of water, officials said. Rakim Akbari was found in a body of water near the resort he reportedly ran away from, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said. According to a post from the OCSO, the boy had autism and was last seen at the Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas at Lake Buena Vista. That’s near the Disney theme parks. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing person alert for the boy, who reportedly walked away without socks or shoes. “It is with heavy hearts that we must share that our officers found Rakim Akbari dead in a body of water near the resort he was reported missing from this morning.
