NRF claims two Taliban outposts attacked in Parwan and Kapisa

The National Resistance Front (NRF) has claimed that three Taliban fighters were killed and three others injured in two attacks on Taliban forces in Parwan and Kapisa.

So far, Taliban members have not commented on the NRF’s claim.

On Wednesday (July 17), the NRF said in a statement that the first attack took place on a Taliban checkpoint on the outskirts of the town of Charikar, killing one Taliban member and wounding two others.

The front added that the second attack occurred in Hesa Duwum district of Kapisa province on a Taliban base, killing two fighters and injuring one Taliban fighter.

The NRF stated that its forces suffered no damage in these attacks.

The front is one of two armed groups that occasionally attack Taliban forces in various central and northern provinces.

Another armed opposition group to the Taliban is the Freedom Front, which occasionally reports attacks on Taliban military centers.

Taliban representatives have repeatedly stated that these groups have so far failed to capture any territory.
