Arrest made in connection with City of Buffalo shooting death

Timé Thomas, 30, of Cheektowaga, faces one count of murder in connection with the death of Quentin Sims, 31, of Buffalo.

The shooting happened around 8:50 p.m. on Friday, April 26 at Young and Ashley streets, just south of Broadway. Officers who responded to the call of shots fired found Sims, who had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Homicide detectives immediately began an investigation and a suspect was identified,” police said in a statement Thursday announcing the arrest.

A search of the New York State Electric Court filing system revealed no future court dates for Thomas.
