Port Chester officer killed in off-duty accident to be buried

Funeral services have begun for Christopher Bernal, a Port Chester police officer who was killed in a motorcycle accident last weekend.

Bernal, 23, was off duty when the accident occurred in Highlands.

He served with the Port Chester Police Department for a year.

A wake will be held Friday at the Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester. His funeral will be Sunday at Saint John Bosco Parish.

Bernal leaves behind his father, his sister and his girlfriend.
