Miami, FL – A South Florida man was arrested Sunday after allegedly picking up two young girls on a scooter, taking them to his apartment to smoke and drink, and then sexually assaulting them.

According to Miami police, the 16-year-old victim stated in an audio recording that she encountered the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Sunen Isaac Gutierrez, early Sunday morning near the 2200 block of Southwest Fourth Street in Little Havana.

Gutierrez invited both victims to his apartment to smoke marijuana and drink alcohol.

According to the police report, the 16-year-old victim said the 17-year-old agreed to perform sexual acts with Gutierrez for about $400 and later negotiated the price down to $320.

During the argument, Gutierrez became rude, causing the 16-year-old to withdraw from the situation.

Both victims tried to escape from the apartment, but Gutierrez is said to have followed them as they attempted to escape.

According to police, the 16-year-old victim fell and was anally penetrated by Gutierrez. He then forcibly took her purse and cell phone before she managed to escape.

The police report states that the 17-year-old victim asked Gutierrez to stop his sexual advances, but he persisted and even forced her to perform oral sex on him.

Detectives took the 16-year-old victim to Gutierrez’s home, where they identified him through his landlord.

Gutierrez was taken into custody and a search of his apartment revealed the 16-year-old’s cell phone and a 17-year-old’s card.

Gutierrez was read his Miranda rights in Spanish and admitted to meeting the victims after a night of drinking and taking them to his home, but denied exchanging money for sexual favors.

He made a confession, but details of this confession were redacted in the police report.

Gutierrez was arrested on two counts of human trafficking of a victim between the ages of 12 and 17, sexual assault and robbery.

He is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
