Toronto police investigate sexual assault in apartment elevator

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an alleged sexual assault late last week.

Officers responded to a 911 call about a sexual assault in the area of ​​York Street and Bremner Boulevard at 6:18 p.m. on March 22, police said in a news release Tuesday.

The suspect entered an apartment building to make a food delivery, the press release states. The suspect then spoke with the victim while they waited for the elevator and allegedly sexually assaulted the victim once inside.

The suspect fled when the elevator opened.

According to police, the suspect and the victim do not know each other.

The suspect is described as 5’7″ tall, slim build, with a moustache. He was wearing a black cap, black jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms, black running shoes and was carrying a large black bag containing food deliveries. Police estimate he is around 20 years old.
