Naperville police arrest suspect in fatal stabbing attack on woman – NBC Chicago

Authorities said one person was arrested by police after a woman was fatally stabbed in a Naperville home.

The incident was reported around 9:37 a.m. when Naperville police officers were called to a home in the 2500 block of Saddlebrook Drive because a patient was not breathing. Officers arrived to find several people inside, including a woman who appeared to have been stabbed multiple times.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. The DuPage County Coroner’s Office conducted an examination Saturday to determine the cause of death.

Following preliminary police investigations, a man was arrested, authorities said. The circumstances of the stabbing and the reasons for the man’s arrest remained unclear late Saturday evening.

The names of all those involved were withheld on Saturday evening “pending further investigation into this matter.”
