NRC suspends train services in Delta and Kogi

The Nigerian Railway Corporation has announced the suspension of operations between Delta and Kogi due to unsatisfactory track conditions from Ujevwu in Delta State to Itakpe in Kogi State.

This was announced in a notice titled “Public Notice” sent to clients, which states that the agency plans to resume operations on Monday, July 8, 2024.

The closure, which has been in effect since Friday, was attributed to an obstruction on the route.

“This is to officially inform our valued passengers that the Warri-Itakpe train will not run today, Friday, July 5, 2024 due to disruption on our route.

“We will resume regular train services from Monday, July 8, 2024. Passengers who have already booked their tickets online will receive a refund.

“We deeply regret any inconvenience. Thank you very much,” the statement continued.
