Minor kidnapped: 16-year-old girl abducted and raped by three youths in Kanpur | Kanpur News

Kanpur: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by three youths, including two minors, on the premises of Bidhnu police station of the district. One of the accused has been arrested while two minors have been taken into custody. The incident took place on the night of June 24, when the girl was sleeping with her two minor brothers in their house. The girl’s father, in his complaint filed on Monday, stated that his daughter was sleeping when three youths from the same area barged into his house and took the girl away after stuffing her mouth with a piece of cloth. The accused took the minor to the house of one of them and took turns to rape her. After keeping her captive there for four days, they abandoned the girl near Ramaipur border post on June 28 and fled, he said. “When she regained consciousness, she went home and narrated everything,” the girl’s father said in his complaint. The main accused was arrested while two minors were taken into custody and later sent to a juvenile detention centre, said police station superintendent Jitendra Pratap Singh. “A case has been filed against the three under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for gang rape, trespass, unlawful assault and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act,” he added.
