Man shot and killed overnight in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – A man was shot and killed in south St. Louis early Thursday morning.

According to an incident report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred in the 7300 block of Virginia Avenue in the city’s Carondelet neighborhood. According to police, the 33-year-old was shot in the eye.

He was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

The criminal police are leading the ongoing investigation. Police did not provide any further information about the shooting.
