On Wednesday evening, Bellefontaine police stopped 30-year-old Stephon Adderly of Columbus for speeding on South Main Street.

Officers stopped him at 61 miles per hour in the 35 mph zone.

He had to stop for several blocks to wait for the police and finally pulled into a parking lot.

When officers spoke to Adderly, they noticed several signs of intoxication.

He was then asked to take several sobriety tests, all of which he failed.

Adderly was arrested and taken to the Bellefontaine Police Department, where he tested positive for alcohol twice the legal limit.

He was handed over to a sober driver and charged with drunk driving and speeding.
