Police investigation: Officers in Paramus, NJ, are investigating a crash after a driver and passenger fled the scene on foot

PARAMUS (WABC) — In Paramus, an unoccupied car was discovered that had crashed into a utility pole. The occupants apparently fled the scene of the accident.

The white Mercedes-Benz sedan with a cracked windshield was found on Midland Avenue around 5:30 a.m.

Shortly thereafter, Paramus police received reports from residents of up to two people in the vicinity

The police searched with a sniffer dog but found no one on foot. None of the vehicle’s occupants reported the accident.

The crashed vehicle was towed away while police investigate the cause of the accident.
