Suspect arrested for gang rape of 16-year-old schoolgirl

Colombo (News1st): A suspect has been arrested for his involvement in the gang rape of a 16-year-old schoolgirl in Ambulgama, Hanwella.

According to police, five young men were suspected of this crime.

The incident occurred yesterday (21) when the victim was returning home after meeting her boyfriend.

According to her complaint to the police, a group of five men on motorcycles forcibly took her to a crematorium and raped her there.

The victim is a resident of Kosgama.
