BUCKEYE, AZ — Buckeye police have lifted a curfew due to a chemical leak at the Thatcher Company of Arizona near Rainbow Road and Southern Avenue.

The leak was nitric acid.

An emergency shelter-in-place order was issued due to concerns about air quality in the immediate area, but authorities have since lifted the warning and residents can return home if they have left the area.
