Mother and son killed, man found in back seat of crashed Missouri City police vehicle

HOUSTON (KIAH) – A mother and her son were killed during a police chase following a robbery in progress in Missouri City. Their vehicle was struck by a Missouri City Police Department (MCPD) patrol car as they exited a Dollar Tree parking lot at 1655 Cartwright.

Mother and son were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The officer in the patrol car was taken to a local trauma center in unknown condition.

Two hours after the investigation began, the MCPD found a man in the back seat of the crashed patrol car.

Chef Brandon Harris said he did not know who the other man was or how he got into the back seat of the patrol car. He also could not say whether the man was handcuffed.
