Drake Bell condemns “Ned’s Cleared” stars for mocking his Nickelodeon sexual assault allegations

Drake Bell called out several “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” alums for mocking abuse allegations made by Nickelodeon child stars in the new docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.”

The comments from “Survival Guide” stars – Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw and Daniel Curtis Lee – follow the “Drake & Josh” star’s first appearance sexual abuse he suffered by Nickelodeon dialogue coach and convicted sex offender Brian Peck in the Investigation Discovery series.

“Ned is classless…this is wild…laughs guys…laughs…’Gimme your h*les?!!'” Really?!” Bell wrote alongside a screen recording of the TikTok live on Monday.

During the livestream, Werkheiser, 33, told his off-screen co-star Daniel Curtis Lee: “Daniel, we told you never to talk about this. Go back to your hole, Daniel. And give me your holes.”

Werkheiser then added: “I’m sorry – we shouldn’t joke about this, we really shouldn’t.”

“That’s awful. Why are we doing this?” Shaw, 34, chimed in as she stood behind Werkheiser.

“Because this is about us – listen, our set wasn’t like that,” Werkheiser replied. “And no, it’s fucking awful. The Drake Bell shit is – that’s crazy to hear… That’s shit, man. And that never came out, which is really wild. Really wild.”

After a fan commented that the three co-stars were “in it,” Werkheiser responded with a laugh and added, “I’m not talking about it anymore.” I’m not talking about it anymore. Guys, we can’t joke like that, Jesus. Sometimes humor helps us get through things.”

On Tuesday, Werkheiser apologized to Bell on X.

“I’m so sorry, Drake. Disappointed I hurt you,” he captioned his post alongside a screenshot of his apology statement.

“I was an idiot today. There’s no way around it. I think it’s terrible that my idiot even talked about it without seeing it,” his statement said. “I watched “Quiet on Set” tonight and am appalled by the gravity of what Drake and others shared. I’m really heartbroken about what my fellow actors went through. I can’t believe they weren’t protected. I’m sorry I only made the pain worse.”

Representatives for Werkheiser, Shaw and Lee did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s requests for comment.

In “Quiet on the Set,” Bell, who appeared on “The Amanda Show” in 1999 and was later cast as the lead in 2004’s “Drake & Josh,” broke his silence about the repeated sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of Peck Teenager.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department, Peck was arrested in August 2003 on multiple charges related to the sexual abuse of an unnamed minor.

The following year, he was sentenced to 16 months in prison and required to register as a sex offender after pleading no contest to two counts of child molestation against the unnamed minor.

“Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” which “exposes the toxic and dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s,” is streaming on Max.
