LIVINGSTON COUNTY – A Georgia woman is on trial for pointing a gun at another motorist on I-55 in Livingston County last Friday.

Livingston County prosecutors allege that 34-year-old Bennett Quaysio of Statham, Georgia, pointed a gun at another driver from the driver’s side of her semi-trailer.

According to a police report, the incident, which was triggered by road rage, occurred around 6:30 p.m.

Livingston County Sheriff’s officers stopped Quaysio near mile marker 204.

When authorities searched the semi-trailer, they reportedly found a handgun in the center console.

Quaysio is charged with aggravated assault (a third-class felony) and unlawful use of a weapon (a fourth-class felony).

Livingston County Judge Bauknect released Quaysio on pretrial release conditions.

Quaysio is due to appear in court again on July 11.
