Five dead in collision between Indian passenger and freight trains: police

At least five people were killed in the Indian state of West Bengal on Monday when an express train and a freight train collided, derailing three passenger carriages, police said.

“At least five people have died and 25 to 30 have been injured,” police chief Abhishek Gupta told AFP from the scene. “Three compartments of the express train were derailed.”
