Punxsutawney man charged with assault on a minor

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Punxsutawney man is facing indecent assault charges after police said he inappropriately touched an underage girl in 2022.

Jonathan Miller, 33, was arrested after the victim contacted police on April 13 about an alleged assault that occurred two years ago. The victim told police that Miller allegedly began touching her inappropriately between her legs before pulling her onto his lap, the criminal complaint states.

Miller allegedly told the victim not to tell anyone what he had done. The victim told police it felt like the alleged attack lasted an hour.

On April 16, police interviewed Miller, who told them he knew what he had done was wrong and he realized it was wrong as soon as he started doing it, police said in the affidavit explanation noted.
