Governor Hochul and local officials parade during the June 17 parade

Buffalo, NY – Governor Kathy Hochul returned to Buffalo on Saturday and paraded alongside city and state officials during the 49th annual parade of June 19.

She spoke of the mass shooting of May 14, the resilience of the East Side de Buffalo and the importance of going forward without ever forgetting the sacrifices made in the past.

“Let us continue to move forward, to make sure that we honor their stories, their struggles, their sacrifices and the resilience of a people who find themselves here today after having undergone incalculable losses two years ago,” said Hochul before parade.

The last state budget provides $ 5 million so that the committee can do its task.
