Name of driver killed in Marshall County rollover crash released

MARSHALL COUNTY, Iowa – On Monday, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office released the name of the driver killed in a rollover crash last week.

On Thursday at approximately 6:38 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car crash near the 2000 block of 190th Street in Marshalltown. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle engulfed in flames.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was found several feet from the vehicle and unconscious. The driver was identified as Michael L. McNeill, 58, of Clear Lake. McNeill succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
