Police in Los Angeles County were investigating a package theft when they happened upon the suspected thieves, who had been in an accident.

According to an Arcadia Police press release, officers responded to calls about a package being stolen shortly before 4:35 a.m. Wednesday morning and were dispatched to the 200 block of East Sycamore Avenue.

The package, equipped with a GPS tracking device, was eventually tracked to the 300 block of West Maple Avenue in Monrovia. When police arrived there, they determined it was a single-vehicle accident.
