FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) – A suspect driving a suspected stolen vehicle was arrested by Fort Lauderdale police after a short chase.

Around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, authorities pursued the Audi in the area of ​​Sistrunk Boulevard near Interstate 95.

Local police began pursuing the vehicle after the driver allegedly crashed in the area between Northwest 11th Street and 15th Court and fled the scene. After driving several blocks, the car crashed into a home at Northwest 16th Street and 11th Way.

7Skyforce hovered over the house where the vehicle could be seen right next to the house.

The suspect fled from authorities for several minutes but was eventually stopped and taken into custody.

Her identity and any charges against her were not disclosed.

Officers with the Florida Highway Patrol and Broward Sheriff’s Office are assisting Fort Lauderdale Police with this incident.
