One dead after accident in downtown Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KKTV) – Police say at least one person is dead in a crash in northeast Colorado Springs.

They told 11 News this happened just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Hancock and 4th Street. That’s just northwest of the intersection of Fillmore and Union.

So far, police believe that two vehicles were involved, but have not yet made any statement about the possible cause of the accident. Police were on site for hours and told 11 News that the investigation is currently ongoing.
