Megan Thee Stallion and other Atlanta events canceled due to water main breaks

On Friday, the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management said water service to much of metro Atlanta would be shut off at 5 p.m. so crews could repair broken water main lines on 48 inch and 36 inch transmission line.

Variety Playhouse in Little Five Points announced that country singer Paul Cauthen’s concert, also scheduled for Friday evening, had been canceled due to water outages. The venue said it is working to reschedule the show for January 23, 2025. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.

And downtown Theatrical Outfit canceled tonight’s performance of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” ยป by Edward Albee. Performances are expected to resume tomorrow.

Many restaurants were also forced to close their doors this evening.
