2 women from the Houston area accuse NFL kicker Brandon McManus of sexually harassing them on a Jaguars flight to London

HOUSTON – Two Houston-area flight attendants have filed a lawsuit against the Jacksonville Jaguars and their kicker Brandon McManus, accusing the player of sexual assault.

According to the lawsuit filed Tuesday, the two unidentified women said McManus sexually assaulted them on Sept. 28, 2023, on an Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings flight chartered by the Jaguars.

The lawsuit says the flight from Jacksonville, Florida, to London, England, quickly turned into a “party” as McManus and some of his teammates “disregarded flight attendants’ privacy, aviation safety and federal law.” The lawsuit also says McManus wandered around the plane during the eight-hour flight, at one point going to the galley multiple times. He even recruited three other flight attendants to the “party” and handed out $100 bills to encourage them to drink and dance inappropriately for him.

In the lawsuit, one of the flight attendants accuses McManus of assaulting her twice. She even claims that the attacker targeted her because she wanted nothing to do with the activities he was performing on the plane. The flight attendant described the first encounter, which she said occurred when the pilot signaled turbulence and asked everyone on the plane to fasten their seatbelts. She said McManus sat next to her on the plane and tried to kiss her, but she blocked his attempt and told him to “go away.”

Shortly afterwards, as the flight attendant was handing out the team’s first meal, McManus grabbed her and started groping her, she said.

“Each time, she could feel his erect penis through his clothing as he rubbed against her,” the lawsuit states.

The second assault occurred during the second meal, according to the lawsuit. The flight attendant said McManus approached her from behind, grabbed her tightly around the waist and rubbed himself against her several times.

The second flight attendant also reported a similar experience with McManus. She said that he approached her from behind on the plane and began to “rub” his erect genital area against her.

The women also accused the Jacksonville Jaguars of failing to adequately supervise McManus and of failing to provide a safe environment for the team’s employees.

They are demanding more than a million dollars and a jury trial.

The Jaguars issued the following statement to ESPN regarding the lawsuit:

“We are aware of the complaint and recognize the significance of the allegations,” the team said. “As we continue to investigate the matter, it must be emphasized that we insist on an organization built by people who represent our community and our game with the highest character and class.”

The two women are represented by Tony Buzbee, the attorney who represented the women who accused Deshaun Watson of sexual assault in 2022.
