Fraud alert from Jackson County Sheriff’s Department

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department would like to make the public aware of a scam.

Jackson County residents are receiving calls asking them to send bail payments, charitable donations and medical bills for a family member.

Be aware of these calls. Jackson County Sheriffs will never request money over the phone.

Scammers may spoof caller ID to make the call appear real, including using the real names of officials.
