Disturbing incident involving Mike Tyson before fight against Jake Paul

Just weeks before his controversial match with Jake Paul, Mike Tyson suffered an incident that makes the event even more worrying.

Tyson turns 58 in June and will face Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer who is still in his late twenties, on July 20 in Dallas. Tyson has not fought a sanctioned fight since June 2005, which he lost, although he did have an exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020 and fought to a draw.

News of the incident first surfaced at In Touch Weekly, where it was suggested that the former heavyweight champion had suffered an “obvious medical shock” before a source added further details.

“Mike had a medical emergency on the plane and paramedics came on board. Before the paramedics arrived, the flight made an announcement asking for a doctor – the message even appeared on all the screens.”

Tyson representatives informed the New York Post about the recent incident.

“Fortunately, Mr. Tyson is OK. He became nauseous and dizzy 30 minutes before landing due to a stomach ulcer. He is grateful to the medical staff who helped him.”
