North HS student arrested after bringing gun onto campus: KHSD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – A North High School student was arrested after he was allegedly found with a firearm on campus Friday morning.

Kern High School District police responded and determined that the student did not intend to use the firearm on campus, according to the district.

The firearm was confiscated.

The investigation is ongoing and there is an increased police presence on campus as a precautionary measure.

Parents at North High School were notified of the incident through a conference call, according to the district. The district is urging students to speak up if they see anything.
