Hunt for attacker after raping man in Morden Park

Police are searching for an attacker “in his 50s” after a man in his 20s said he was raped in a park in Morden.

The victim said he was chased through Morden Hall Park just before 7pm on Monday, July 25, and then pushed to the ground in a wooded area where he was raped. The 20-year-old man then managed to escape.

The Metropolitan Police released an e-fit image of a wanted man on Friday. He is described as a white man, around 50 years old, around 1.80 meters tall, with a slim build and a short gray beard.

The suspect was wearing black thin-rimmed glasses, a blue top, blue shorts and a bright yellow hat. Police said the victim was being cared for by specially trained officers.

Detective Constable Hannah Saunders said: “We have released an e-fit image of the man we want to speak to.

“Given the detailed description, I hope someone recognizes him – if so, please get in touch.”
