Man killed after shooting at Massillon movie theater

MASSILLON, Ohio – One man is dead after a shooting at the Regal Massillon movie theater late Friday night.

Eyewitnesses told 3News the shooting happened in the theater lobby just before 11 p.m. Police were later seen escorting people from the building on Cherry Road Northwest as the investigation began.

According to authorities, the victim’s body was actually in the lobby. He was identified as 27-year-old Daron Davis of Canton.

Officials also confirm that a suspect is in custody, while no other injuries have been reported. WKYC is awaiting further information from law enforcement.
