UPDATE (May 10, 12:05 p.m.) – According to the Supreme Fire Department, one person died in a building fire early Friday morning.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident in the Village of Superior at 4:23 a.m. The fire came from a garage attached to a single car but later spread to the front of the one-story home.

According to authorities, one person was found inside the home and was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts.

The home suffered significant smoke and fire damage. An adjacent house was also damaged.

According to the fire department, emergency services remained on site until Friday at 8 a.m. No other injuries were reported.
