Lawyer Ali Kashif Khan arrested for raping 29-year-old woman in Airoli

Rabale police have arrested an Andheri-based lawyer after a 29-year-old woman from Airoli alleged that she was raped in his car and filmed on a spy camera. The accused, Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh, known as a model’s representative in the Aryan Khan case, was arrested by Rabale police on Saturday. He was produced before the holiday court on Sunday and remanded in police custody for three days.

According to the plaintiff, the lawyer was busy with her mother’s divorce proceedings. In the course of various meetings, the lawyer came to know that the plaintiff was close to one of the most renowned politicians in Navi Mumbai.

She further alleged that in January, he came to Rabale in his car and asked her to meet him in the car. He took her to a remote place in Sector 10, Airoli, offered her a drug-laced drink and allegedly raped her.

He then claimed to have recorded the act on a spy camera and by threatening to make the video viral, forced her to file a false rape complaint against the politician with the Amboli police in February. The complainant further alleged that the lawyer extorted Rs 2.70 crore from the politician by citing the rape complaint.

The lawyer then promised the complainant to pay half of the extorted amount and asked her to meet him at his residence in Santacruz, where he allegedly raped her again in March. “We have registered the case as alleged by the complainant and accordingly the accused has been arrested. Further investigation is on,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Pankaj Dahane.
