A fatal accident in Douglas County remains under investigation.

On Saturday, July 27, at approximately 8:28 p.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle car crash in Douglas County on County Highway H near Koho Road.

The initial investigation indicates that a car was traveling southbound when the driver lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree. Upon arrival, both occupants of the car were found to be dead. Speed ​​and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors. The accident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
