13-year-old girl becomes pregnant after being raped by neighbors

30-year-old Le Van Hoang is now accused of “rape of a minor.”

In early July, the girl’s family noticed that her belly was getting larger than normal and took her to a hospital, where doctors determined that she was 22 weeks pregnant.

The adults reported the case to the police.

An investigation identified Hoang as the prime suspect.

Hoang admitted to police that he had raped the girl several times.

He committed the crime for the first time in mid-February, when he visited the girl at home after a round of drinking and found her alone at home.

He raped her and threatened to do more to her if she dared to tell anyone about it.

According to current laws in Vietnam, rape involving victims aged between 13 and 16 can result in a prison sentence of seven to 15 years.
