Woman dies after being hit by train in Fresno | YourCentralValley.com

FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A woman died after being struck by a train in Fresno on Thursday, according to Fresno police.

Officers said they responded to the area of ​​Clinton Avenue and Highway 99 around 9 a.m. because a woman was dead on the tracks. When they arrived, they found a woman in her late 30s dead at the scene. Officers said she suffered injuries to the left side of her body.


Police say the victim was alone and no foul play is suspected. It is not known if the person was homeless or how he ended up on the tracks.

“It’s possible she found one of the gaps in the fence and may have gained access to the tracks,” Officer Luke Tran said.

The identity of the person killed has not been officially disclosed.
