Janesville resident charged with possession of child pornography, arrested after four-month investigation

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A Janesville resident was taken into custody Thursday morning following a four-month child pornography investigation, Janesville police report.

Authorities said the Janesville Police SWAT team executed a search warrant for the 200 block of Rockport Road around 5:30 a.m.

A sniffer dog specializing in detecting electronic inventory was deployed inside the building.

The 39-year-old was arrested on five counts of possession of child pornography and taken to the Rock County Jail pending his first court date.
