The wait continues

Red Dead Redemption 3 may not have been officially confirmed yet, but that doesn’t stop fans from hoping there will be an announcement… someday.

Six years have passed since Red Dead Redemption 2 and is widely considered one of the best games of all time, it’s no wonder fans can’t wait to continue the story with a third installment.

However, as Rockstar Games is working hard to Grand Theft Auto VI, It is no wonder that a potential Red Dead Redemption 3 takes a back seat.

However, fans have unearthed an interview with the voice of John Marston himself, Rob Wiethoff, who shared his thoughts on a possible third installment of the popular story.

Although Wiethoff admitted that Red Dead Redemption 2 the “end of an era,” he also shared his thoughts on the story, which will either go back in time for a possible prequel or go further into the future but leave the Wild West genre behind.

If a prequel were planned, he would like to see the events of Blackwater and especially what motivated all of our beloved characters to follow Dutch.

“It would be interesting to meet Dutch,” he said. “Before he met Micah… For me, the question is: How did Dutch and Hosea get so many people to believe in him and trust him and follow him and want to stay with him?”

For “selfish reasons,” Wiethoff would also like to see more of John Marston, whether when he’s old and out of the business, or even younger in a potential prequel. However, he also acknowledges that in the latter case, another actor may be cast in the role.

Regardless of what happens in a potential third installment, it’s clear there’s a lot more story to tell, and it remains to be seen which characters will reappear in the future.
