According to a Berkeley Police Department press release, detectives launched an investigation last week after parents raised concerns about 25-year-old Tyler Livingston’s interactions with their children.

On Thursday, detectives executed search and arrest warrants at an address associated with Livingston, who was eventually taken into custody in Emeryville without further incident.

Livingston has worked as a swimming instructor in the Bay Area for the past few years and may have also worked as a substitute teacher for a time, according to police.

“While investigations into these cases are ongoing, we are aware that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward,” police said.

Police urged potential victims to contact the police department’s child welfare unit at 510-981-5715.
