Prostitutes and pals killed “Sugar Daddy” and used severed thumb to access his bank account and buy alcohol and drugs: police

A 22-year-old escort and her friend were accused of killing their “sugar daddy” and cutting off his thumb – which she used to buy alcohol and drugs, according to court documents.

Tiffany Taylor Gray, who witnesses said was “involved in prostitution,” is accused of luring 53-year-old Fasil Teklemariam to his Washington, D.C., apartment on April 1, where he was hit in the head and stabbed multiple times, according to a police affidavit obtained by The Washington Post.

A witness told police he saw Taylor “use the deceased’s thumb to withdraw money from the deceased’s account,” the affidavit states. “Witness 5 also stated that ‘Taylor’ used the deceased’s thumb to pay for Uber and buy weed and alcohol.”

Gray and his alleged accomplice, 19-year-old Audrey Miller, are now both charged with murder in the case.

The witness identified Gray as the dead man’s “sugar daddy,” the document says.

Surveillance camera photos released by DC Metro Police show Teklemariam entering his apartment on Peabody Street Northwest with Miller on April 1, leaving briefly less than half an hour later and returning with three cans of Coca Cola.

He was never seen alive again.

On April 5, police were called to the apartment shortly before 11:30 a.m. and found Teklemariam’s bloodied body in a back bedroom – with numerous wounds and missing her right thumb, the affidavit states.

Investigators found that the two women and at least two men were observed using the dead man’s keychain to gain access to the building several times – and possibly leaving the apartment with items.

With the help of the recordings and a location of Teklemariam’s phone, the police were able to track down the suspected murderers.

Gray, who also used the name Taylor Greene, was previously named in a complaint for stealing $1,800 from Teklemariam’s Cash App in October 2023 while the two were staying at a hotel, the affidavit said.

The outcome of this case is unclear.

However, police arrested Miller on June 21 in the murder case and arrested Gray on July 1.

Both are now accused of having deliberately attacked her. The police have offered a reward of $25,000 for each other person involved in the gruesome murder, the police said.
