Jazz Chisholm Jr. to be traded to Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves are reportedly looking to bolster their outfield by the trade deadline. The Atlanta Braves were expecting to open the 2024 season with a World Series victory, but when 2023 National League MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. suffered his second career ACL tear early in the 2024 season, hope seemed lost. Hope was not lost in the locker room, however, as the Atlanta Braves have the 4th-best record in the National League and are in first place in the National League wild-card race. Now, to replace Acuna in the position and production, the Atlanta Braves are expected to trade for Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the Miami Marlins.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. is no Ronald Acuna Jr., but Jazz is more than capable of bringing excitement to this team. His OPS is down this year, but his batting average and OBP are still above his career average, and he will bring speed to the bases. Something the Atlanta Braves desperately need as they rank 3rd to last in stolen bases. Hitting is contagious in baseball and being around a great organization like the Braves, surrounded by other great hitters, it is easy to believe that this could breathe new life into Jazz and help him improve his hitting percentage.

Baseball teams are at their best offensively when they all contribute and when one hitter starts hitting, it gets the others going. Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the Atlanta Braves would be a great complement to each other, making Jazz not only an above average player, but a perennial All-Star and helping the Braves contend for the World Series since their MVP is not yet in contention for the year.

The next best picks for the Atlanta Braves would be Luis Robert Jr. of the Chicago White Sox, Jesse Winker of the Washington Nationals and Taylor Ward of the Los Angeles Angels.
