1 dead, several injured after boating accident in Long Beach – NBC Los Angeles

According to the Long Beach Fire Department, one person is dead and 10 others are injured after a pleasure boat crashed into the Alamitos Bay pier in Long Beach.

The death of one person, a man between the ages of 40 and 50, has been confirmed.

Eleven people boarded the 48-foot-long pleasure craft, ten of them were taken to hospital, three of them were in critical condition.

Some of the passengers were rescued from the water after the boat sank.
