MIKE, WHAT ELSE CAN YOU TELL US? THIS IS A VERY ACTIVE INVESTIGATION. IN FACT, POLICE ARE GOING DOOR TO DOOR KNOCKING ON DOORS DURING THIS TIME TO GET MORE INFORMATION ON WHAT’S HAPPENING. I’M GOING TO STOP BY BECAUSE YOU MENTIONED KIT CARSON STREET. THIS IS THE INTERSECTION OF KIT CARSON AND REVERE STREETS HERE IN SACRAMENTO. AND IF WE TURN TO THE LEFT AND LOOK DOWN REVERE STREET, YOU SEE SOME OF THESE EVIDENCE MARKERS ON THE STREET WHERE THESE SHOOTINGS WERE REPORTED, AROUND 4:45 THIS MORNING. WE KNOW FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE, BASED ON SOME PRELIMINARY INFORMATION, THAT A CHILD OR A JUVENILE WAS SHOT HERE. WE DON’T KNOW THE EXACT AGE YET. THEY DESCRIBED THE PERSON AS A JUVENILE. HE WAS FOUND WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND. THIS PERSON WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. THE GOOD NEWS HERE IS THAT THE PERSON WAS AWAKE AND TALKING, ACCORDING TO THE POLICE. So, uh, more reports of a shooting here this morning. What’s interesting here is that officers received reports of gunfire in this area just before 9:45 yesterday morning. They actually found some shell casings here, but no one injured. So this morning’s shooting came just a few hours after the reports of gunfire yesterday morning. Again, all of this information is just from the Sacramento Police Department at this time, because they are literally knocking on doors, waking people up, trying to get more information on what happened behind me here. Police were dispatched to Kit Carson Street near Revere Street after 4:45 a.m. to investigate a reported shooting, Sacramento police said. There they found a juvenile with a gunshot wound. The juvenile, who was awake and responsive, was taken to a hospital. The police investigation is ongoing. No other injuries or arrests have been announced at this time. A teenager was shot and killed in Upper Land Park on Tuesday morning, Sacramento police said.

Police were dispatched to Kit Carson Street near Revere Street after 4:45 a.m. to investigate a reported shooting, Sac police said. There they found a juvenile with a gunshot wound. The juvenile, who was awake and responsive, was taken to a hospital.

The police investigation is ongoing. No further injuries or arrests have been reported so far.
